Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil (1,740m) – Tizi n’Tamaterte (2,279m) – Tachddirt (2,314m)

  • Depart from Marrakech in the morning for a 1.5-hour drive to Imlil, the gateway to the High Atlas Mountains.

  • Meet your guide and muleteers before starting the trek.

  • Hike through walnut and apple orchards towards Tizi n’Tamaterte Pass (2,279m), where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

  • Descend into the Tachddirt Valley, passing traditional stone-built Berber villages.

  • Arrive at Tachddirt (2,314m), where you’ll stay in a Berber guesthouse for the night.

Trek Duration: 5-6 hours

Day 2: Tachddirt – Imsker – Imi Oughlad (1,400m)

  • Enjoy a traditional Berber breakfast before setting off on a scenic trek through the valley.

  • Pass by Imsker, a beautiful village known for its terraced fields and lush surroundings.

  • Descend towards Imi Oughlad (1,400m), where you’ll have lunch with a local Berber family.

Day 4: Aït Aïssa – Tizi Oudid Pass (2,200m) – Imlil – Marrakech

  • After breakfast, begin the final stretch of your trek.

  • Descend into the Matat Valley, walking through scenic landscapes before reaching Imlil.

  • Have lunch in Imlil before driving back to Marrakech in the afternoon.
